Conolly Printing Announces New Ownership after 126 Years
April 22, 2022 – For the first time in over 126 years, Conolly Printing, one of New York State’s longest-running printing firms has changed hands outside of the Conolly family. Conolly Printing is a member of an elite group of companies in Rochester, NY. Family founded and operated for generations, built on the foundation of uncompromised quality and a love for the craft, Conolly Printing today announces a major transitional milestone into the future with new leadership.
Conolly Printing has shown exemplary resilience and fortitude to maintain business and support its staff throughout the years, from the depression to two world wars, regional economic challenges throughout the last two decades, and even a pandemic. It will continue its heritage of adaptability in an ever-changing business landscape under the leadership of industry-veteran, Mike Giugno.
“After 49 years at Conolly Printing, including 29 at the helm, I was impressed with the vision Mike had for a printing company of the future” said Bob Conolly, President, and fourth-generation owner. “His plans are solid, and I find Mike to be engaging, laser-focused on the future but also a true appreciation of the rich history of this company. He has shown high respect for the employees and customers who have contributed so much to our successes over the years. Mike’s plans are technology-driven and our customers will see expanded services and opportunities in the months to come.”
Mr. Conolly will stay on board under the new ownership and looks forward to his involvement in the growth and excitement of the changes to come. He will continue to service accounts and nurture relationships into the future.
One of the improvements Conolly Printing will be implementing will make them truly unique from any other printer in Western NY. Konica Minolta is working with the Conolly Printing team to design and integrate an entirely new high-speed digital printing production line. The only one of its kind in the region.
“Konica Minolta is thrilled to partner with Conolly Printing and Media Group to establish a new level of customer-focused quality and responsiveness in the Western NY graphic communications market. The KM AccurioPress C14000 color digital press supports the demanding needs of Conolly’s Printing current and growing print customer community.” Said Ray Gaffney, Commercial Print Specialist at Konica Minolta. “Konica Minolta consulting and technology services will help Conolly achieve new levels of efficiency, automation, and productivity across their end-to-end technology suite including print request workflow, back-office MIS, and future projects all intended to enhance the customer experience as a world-class provider.”
“These are very exciting times for everyone here at Conolly Printing. We will be holding an open house this summer to showcase our new renovations and equipment. I look forward to personally meeting all our customers, legacy and new, and giving them a tour of the new facility.” Said Giugno.
